Ana Bretón
is currently a twice-Emmy nominated digital producer for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
In her time at Full Frontal, she has directed and produced hundreds of short-form comedic videos. She has also co-produced several field pieces for the show, focusing on subjects like asylum seekers at the U.S./Mexico border, immigrants in the military, and feminist rescue brigades in Mexico.
In her most ambitious directing role, Ana directed the TV pilot for the docu-series RUN, where a team of expert women transform the political campaign of an up-and-coming woman running for office. Like Queer Eye, but for politics. Ana prioritized hiring a diverse crew of women and people of color, of all sexual orientations. She’s currently shopping the pilot to various networks.
Ana has over a decade of working in film production, focusing on comedy series and documentaries. She’s a skilled director, producer, editor and cinematographer (including drones!) She was a camera operator & researcher for the feature-length documentary, In Football We Trust, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015 and won a regional Emmy in 2017.
She's proud to be one of the few Latinxs to have been nominated for an Emmy in 2017 and 2018.
